Data security and AI
Last updated: 15 May 2026
Tolkvi provides digital infrastructure for sign language interpreting. When technology is used around healthcare, education, public services, work and everyday decisions, information needs to be handled in a responsible, secure and lawful way.
Can I trust that information is protected?
Tolkvi’s platform is designed for contexts where trust, integrity and clear responsibility matter. The platform helps requesters, interpreters, interpreting companies and other actors work in a more coherent flow without exposing information unnecessarily.
Our starting point is that the right information is available to the right role, in the right context and with clear boundaries. Security and data protection are therefore part of the architecture, not something added afterwards.
How is information protected in Tolkvi?
Tolkvi uses technical and organizational safeguards that reduce the risk of unauthorized access, improper use and unnecessary exposure of information.
This includes role-based access, least privilege, secure authentication, encryption where relevant, logging, traceability and clear separation between different roles and areas of responsibility.
How does Tolkvi use information?
Information processed in Tolkvi is used for clear purposes, such as booking, coordination, delivery, history, follow-up, support, security and technical operation.
Personal data is not collected or retained simply because it is technically possible. When Tolkvi processes personal data, functionality, security and user value are balanced against data minimization, transparency and control.
How does Tolkvi use AI and automation?
AI and automation can become useful tools for reducing administrative work, improving overview and supporting quality in digital flows.
If Tolkvi introduces AI-based functionality, it has a clear purpose and clear limitations. AI does not replace human accountability in decisions that require professional judgment, policy responsibility or individual consideration.
What control is applied to new technology?
New technology is not introduced simply because it is possible to build. Before new functionality is used in sensitive or business-critical flows, risks, purpose, data needs and user impact are assessed.
Important flows are designed so responsible roles can understand status, follow up events and act when something needs to be handled. Technology supports accountability, not uncertainty.
How does Tolkvi use technical suppliers?
Tolkvi AB is responsible for the processing of personal data. To provide, protect and troubleshoot Tolkvi’s services, we use established technical tools and suppliers in line with industry practice, for example for hosting, backend, communication, email, security and technical operation.
If such tools or suppliers process personal data, they do so on Tolkvi’s behalf and according to Tolkvi’s instructions. Suppliers must not use personal data for their own purposes unless there is a legal basis and relevant information has been provided.
For contact forms and future platform services in the Swedish and European markets, Tolkvi’s starting point is that personal data is processed within the EU/EEA. The public website’s static files may be delivered through global hosting infrastructure, where technical request information is processed for operation, security and troubleshooting.
Where can I find more information?
